The Group was formed in 2014 as Hounslow COPD Support Group and in 2019, changed its name preparatory to applying for charitable status.  It became a registered charity in January 2020.

During its existence it has always been our intention to provide support to people diagnosed with long-term respiratory conditions and during the last few years we’ve added Associate membership so that Hounslow residents who have any long-term condition can join us.

We recognise that it is important that holistic care is available and by arranging outings and providing exercise classes we are, in part, helping people to improve their general health and wellbeing as well as providing friendship to help combat fears of loneliness and isolation.  Please do have a look at our calendar page for more detail.

Hounslow Borough Respiratory Support Group are members of The Foundation of Social Improvement (FSI), Directory for Social Change (DSC), European Lung Foundation (ELF), National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and National Voices.
